A 5am wake up call to drive down to Michoacan to a fun little surfspot that makes you never want to go home. I almost didn’t go home, but when I thought about it for more than that instant gratification, “Im staying here!” outburst, I realized that my coffee rations wouldn’t last more than three days. Just incase you don’t know, if you run out of coffee in Michoacan, it means you drink that horrible instant brown mixture that they tell you is café. Maybe it’s a bad excuse, but I wouldn’t have made it. Surf, sun, hammock, surf, read, snack, beer. Thats how it goes. Current project for between swell lull we are facing. Build my own Alaia!

I’m biking out to Rockaway this cold sunny afternoon just to ride by Rockaway Taco and dream about when it’ll be open again. I’ve already visited several times during snowy parts of the past winter. Do you think I’m obsessed? How about opening a month early?
